Job summary

Altarq is seeking a Site Engineer / Project Manager to lead site execution, coordination, and closure on diverse construction projects. The role requires hands-on involvement on-site and strong collaboration with design teams, clients, and contractors.

You will read drawings, supervise civil, structural and MEP works, prepare BOQs, monitor quality and schedules, and ensure compliance with drawings and specs. Willingness to travel across Bihar & Jharkhand is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Good practical understanding of civil, structural and MEP works in building construction.
• Ability to independently coordinate and manage contractors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of BOQ preparation, DSR/SOR and DPRs.
• Understanding of Measurement Books, measurements and RA bills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong coordination and project management abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Bihar & Jharkhand.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution and progress of construction projects.

• Monitor project quality, timelines, materials and workmanship.
• Identify site issues and develop practical, timely solutions.
• Ensure execution is as per approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain project progress records.
• Coordinate effectively between the design team, client, consultants and contractors.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Prepare and modify drawings/details in AutoCAD as required for site execution.
• Communicate site requirements and feedback to the design team.
• Prepare and review BOQs based on drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Refer to DSR, State SORs and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for rate analysis and quantity estimation.
• Understand and verify site measurements, Measurement Books (MBs) and RA Bills.
• Check contractor measurements and bills against actual site execution.
• Assist with project cost tracking and quantity reconciliation.

About the Role

We are looking for a Site Engineer / Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from site execution to coordination and closure.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of building construction, civil & structural works, and MEP services, along with the ability to manage contractors, coordinate with clients and design teams, and ensure that projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and as per drawings and specifications.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on-site, solving problems, coordinating people, and taking responsibility for getting things done.

Key Responsibilities

Site & Project Management

• Manage day-to-day execution and progress of construction projects.
