Job summary

Springdales School in Ranchi seeks a qualified Civil Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate day-to-day construction activities for our real estate project, ensuring work is done per approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements and timelines.

You will coordinate with contractors and site teams, read structural drawings, manage materials and cost controls, and document progress. Immediate joiners preferred; strong knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel is desirable.

Qualifications

• Hands-on site execution and supervision of RCC, reinforcement and finishing works.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Experience coordinating contractors and labour on site.
• Knowledge of BOQ, measurements and contractor billing.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Civil Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate day-to-day construction activities at our real estate project. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction work is executed as per approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily civil construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure execution of work as per approved architectural and structural drawings.
• Supervise RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, brickwork, plastering, flooring, waterproofing and finishing works.
• Check quality of construction materials and workmanship.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, architects and other site teams.
• Monitor manpower, material utilization and work progress.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain site records.
• Verify measurements of completed work and assist in contractor bill verification.
• Identify site issues and coordinate for timely resolution.
• Ensure proper implementation of construction quality and safety standards.
• Monitor project progress against the approved construction schedule.
• Control material wastage and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
• Maintain site documentation, inspection records and measurement sheets.
• Support snag rectification, finishing activities and project handover.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on experience in site execution and supervision of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing and finishing works.
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Experience in contractor/subcontractor coordination and labour management.
• Good knowledge of BOQ, quantity estimation, measurements and contractor billing.
• Should have a strong understanding of construction quality standards, site safety and project timelines.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel will be preferred.
• Should be capable of independently handling day-to-day site activities and resolving routine site issues.
• Good communication, coordination, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates with experience in real estate residential projects/commercial projects will be preferred.
• Immediate joiners / candidates with short notice period will be preferred.
