This is a hands‑on shift leadership role at the store level. As a Shift Supervisor, you will run one shift smoothly, lead the floor team, and ensure store standards are consistently met.
What makes the role meaty?
- Shift Operations & Store Readiness: Run your assigned shift smoothly, support opening / closing activities, and ensure the store is operationally ready throughout the day.
- Inventory & Freshness Control: Support stock handling, freshness / expiry checks, reconciliation, and wastage control during the shift.
- People & Floor Leadership: Guide the team on the floor, allocate work, manage shift discipline, and support the Store Manager in handling manpower gaps and daily execution.
- Customer Handling: Resolve routine customer issues on the floor, ensure good service standards, and elevate critical concerns when needed.
- Hygiene & SOP Compliance: Maintain hygiene, food‑safety, and store SOP standards through disciplined execution during the shift.
- Reporting & Coordination: Support daily reporting, flag store issues on time, and coordinate with the Store Manager for smooth shift operations.

Must‑have
- A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in retail, QSR, food service, fresh‑food retail, or any structured customer‑facing store environment.
- Experience handling a shift, floor, or team in a process‑driven setup.
- Hands‑on exposure to customer handling, team coordination, and shift execution.
- Comfort with inventory handling, freshness / expiry checks, and wastage control.
- Willingness to work in a hygiene‑ and food‑safety‑driven environment.
- A hands‑on, floor‑first approach, good communication skills, and a dependable attitude.
Good‑to‑have
- Experience in meat / seafood / fresh‑food retail.
- Exposure to QSR or organised food retail chains.
- Experience with store opening / closing routines.
- Exposure to basic reporting, reconciliation, or audit support.
