Job summary

A D2C food-tech brand in India seeks an experienced Operations Manager to manage day-to-day factory operations and ensure product quality. This role requires strong leadership to recruit and manage staff, uphold hygiene standards, and control production costs. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and over 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in food processing. The location is in Gurugram District, Haryana.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in factory or operations management, preferably in food processing.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Hands‑on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day factory operations.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and product quality.
• Manage factory staff recruitment, training, and performance.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and product quality in compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address and resolve product quality issues
• Recruit, train, and manage factory staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance employee capabilities
• Ensure adherence to HR policies and labor law compliance
• Develop and manage the factory budget, identifying cost‑saving opportunities
• Monitor expenditures and implement measures to control production costs
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime
• Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
• Conduct regular safety and compliance audits
• Liaise with the supply chain team for raw material procurement and timely dispatch of finished goods
• Work closely with the R&D team for new product trials and production enhancements
