Job summary

Teamware Solutions Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced QA Engineer specialized in ServiceNow testing to assess ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, and CMDB modules.

You will design functional test cases, perform manual and exploratory testing of forms, workflows, and service catalog items, and validate data migrations and upgrades. You will also develop automated tests with ATF or Selenium-based tools, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Analysts

Qualifications

• 3–8 years in software testing with at least 2 years focused on ServiceNow testing.
• Proven track record testing ServiceNow implementations, custom apps, and upgrades.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (ATF) in ServiceNow.
• Hands-on REST/SOAP API testing (Postman, SoapUI).
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations (MID Server, IntegrationHub).

• Analyze requirements and design functional test cases for ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM,HRSD, CMDB, etc.)
• Execute manual and exploratory tests on ServiceNow forms, workflows, UI actions, Service Catalog items, and business rules
• Validate data migration, import sets, transforms, and data integrity
• Perform upgrade testing to ensure customizations continue to work post–ServiceNow upgrades

Automation & Test Framework

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) or equivalent tools (Selenium, TestNG & Playwright)
• Automate UI, API, and end-to-end business workflows on the ServiceNow platform
• Create reusable test libraries, fixtures, and accelerators for ATF and external test frameworks
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

API & Integration Testing

• Design and execute REST/SOAP API test cases for ServiceNow integrations with external systems
• Validate API contracts, authentication, authorization, payloads, error handling, and performance
• Perform end-to-end integration testing across microservices, middleware, and third‑party services

Performance, Security & Compliance

• Conduct performance testing on critical ServiceNow processes and pages using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
• Validate access controls, ACLs, encryption, and security configurations in line with corporate policies
• Participate in vulnerability scans and assist with remediation verification

Quality Engineering Practices

• Employ shift‑left testing by engaging in requirement reviews, design discussions, and early defect prevention
• Define quality metrics and gates for each sprint or release
• Track and report testing progress, defects, risks, and coverage to stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QE best practices, standards, and playbooks
• Work closely with Product Owners, ServiceNow Developers, Architects, and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
• Facilitate defect triage sessions and support root‑cause analysis
• Mentor junior testers and share knowledge of ServiceNow testing techniques
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects

Qualifications

Experience

• 3–8 years in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on ServiceNow testing
• Proven track record testing ServiceNow implementations, custom apps, and upgrades

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF)
• Proficient in REST/SOAP API testing (Postman, SoapUI, or similar)
• Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations (MID Server, IntegrationHub, web services)
• Experience with data migration tools and strategies (Import Sets, Transform Maps)
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and version control (Git)
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Test management experience with tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure Test Plans

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CSDM, etc.)
• ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Security Operations or Virtual Agent
• Basic scripting in PowerShell, Python, or TypeScript
