Service Engineer – Installation, Commissioning

Job summary

Jobtailor in Delhi is seeking a field service engineer to analyze complex disturbances and perform on-site commissioning and maintenance of tire testing equipment and automation systems. You will install, calibrate, and commission projects at customer sites while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on experience in automotive driveline or tire industry service engineering, strong PLC skills, and a customer-focused approach to deliver reliable service

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience.
• Experience in application, commissioning, or service engineering for automotive driveline OEMs and the tire industry.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting, including Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Automation, and Beckhoff.
• Troubleshooting of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience with high-speed uniformity, rolling resistance, treadwear, and low-speed uniformity machines.
• Experience installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting tire test beds and automation systems.
• Knowledge of high-voltage safety procedures, risk assessments, PPE usage, and relevant industry standards/regulations, including UN 38.3 and ISO 17025.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to diagnose complex battery issues.
• Professional attitude and strong customer-service skills.
• Willingness/ability to perform work at customer sites

• Remedy malfunctions through telephone instruction, remote connection, or on-site assignments


• Develop necessary service measures in coordination with customers and the service organization


• Perform electrical and mechanical project activities at customer sites

• Conduct preventive maintenance, calibration, and modernization of testing equipment


• Train customer personnel
