Jobtailor in Chennai, India seeks an experienced Service Engineer to analyze complex disturbances and implement corrective actions at customer sites. You will lead electrical/mechanical projects, commission systems, and train customer personnel across tire testing equipment and automation platforms.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in automotive driveline or tire industries, strong PLC skills (Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff), and solid HV safety knowledge aligned with ISO 17025 standards.

Qualifications

Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics required.
Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in automotive driveline OEM and tire industries.
Experience in application, commissioning, or service engineering roles.
Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell, or Beckhoff.
Troubleshooting of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Familiar with high-speed uniformity machines and tire testing equipment.
Knowledge of high-voltage safety, risk assessments, PPE, UN 38.3 and ISO 17025.
Strong analytical and customer service orientation.

Maintain ZF tools/assets and customer test-bench records for future calibration and service

Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to diagnose complex battery issues
