Job summary

VINSAK is seeking a Service Engineer for Hyderabad with a strong background in water-based inkjet and digital printing. The candidate will focus on equipment proficiency, process optimization, quality improvements and production efficiency, rather than just maintenance.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kodak Prosper systems, English communication skills, and the ability to lead improvement projects within a printing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Printing Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in water-based inkjet/digital printing industry.
• Strong knowledge of Kodak Prosper printhead operating principles and maintenance.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stable operation of inkjet printing equipment and improve production efficiency while ensuring product quality.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure achievement of printing department quality targets and drive improvement actions.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Adjust and optimize inkjet/digital printing process parameters and develop SOPs.
• Continuously optimize inkjet/digital printing processes to reduce quality risks.
• Maintain and promote Lean Continuous Improvement (LCI) within the company.
• Support other printing-related activities, including new projects and daily consumables management.
• Develop and train printing operators to enhance technical skills and operational capabilities.
• Perform tasks assigned by supervisor.

Profile summary:

A hands-on inkjet/digital printing process expert with strong Kodak Prosper system experience, ideally from industrial printing, packaging printing, or flexible packaging environments. The role focuses on equipment expertise, process optimization, quality improvement, and production efficiency rather than pure equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain stable operation of inkjet printing equipment, continuously improve production efficiency while ensuring product quality, and achieve production targets.
• Lead continuous improvement projects within the printing team, focusing on efficiency enhancement and cost reduction.
• Ensure achievement of printing department quality targets and drive related improvement activities.
• Lead root cause investigations, problem analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up execution for quality issues.
• Adjust and optimize inkjet/digital printing process parameters and develop relevant SOPs.
• Continuously optimize inkjet/digital printing processes to reduce quality risks.
• Maintain and promote continuous improvement of the company’s LCI (Lean Continuous Improvement) system.
• Support other printing-related activities, including new project introduction, and maintenance and management of daily consumables.
• Develop and train printing operators to enhance technical skills and operational capabilities.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Printing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in the water-based inkjet printing / digital printing industry.

• Strong understanding of Kodak Prosper printhead operating principles and maintenance; familiar with inkjet control systems and ink supply systems.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English (reading, writing, and communication).

Location:

The Service Engineer will work from Hyderabad.
