Job summary

A service company in Chennai is looking for a technician responsible for repairing and servicing products. Key duties include acknowledging product receipts, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining service records. Job description

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge receipt of products from customers received for service.
• Troubleshoot problems reported by customers and file the service report.
• Repair the product following repair instructions/training inputs.
• Test the repaired product for performance as per repair instructions.
• Pack the repaired product properly and make it ready for dispatch.
• Maintain proper service records for each product serviced in the service centre.
• Visit customer sites/factories to attend to complaints regarding product functioning and operation.
• Provide training to new employees on servicing/operation of the machines.
• Follow processes laid out for collecting spare parts from stores.
• Ensure defective parts are properly stored for LTAG inspection or returned to customer if outside warranty period.
• Report any manufacturing defects or repeated failures in products to the Service Manager.
• Deliver/collect products to/from customer premises whenever required.
