Job summary

UMABOY is seeking a Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery at customer sites across Chennai and beyond. The role demands hands-on mechanical and electrical know-how, strong problem-solving, and effective communication with clients.

You will travel to sites for installation, preventive maintenance, and on-demand repairs, maintaining detailed service records and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in machine installation, servicing, or maintenance.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission machinery at customer locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of machines.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical faults and carry out repairs.
• Provide technical support to customers for machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Guide customers on proper usage and maintenance of machines.
• Visit customer sites to resolve service issues within defined turnaround time.
• Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and customer visit records.
• Report service activities and technical issues to the service manager.
• Train customers and operators on machine usage and safety procedures.
• Identify required spare parts and coordinate with the service department.
• Ensure proper usage and replacement of parts during servicing.

Qualification
