Job summary

Mira’s in New Delhi seeks a Senior Steward / Captain to supervise dining floor service, manage table allocations, and deliver refined hospitality across shifts. You will engage guests, upsell, and lead junior stewards to uphold brand standards and flawless presentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with kitchen and bar, maintaining grooming and hygiene, guiding staff on setup, and ensuring timely delivery while anticipating guest needs.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in F&B service as a Steward, Senior Steward, or Captain in premium cafés, casual dining, or hotels.
• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality (preferred).
• Knowledge of table service protocols, menu presentation, and beverage service.
• Familiarity with POS/KOT billing systems (e.g., Petpooja).
• Good verbal communication in English and Hindi; strong grooming standards.

• Welcome and seat guests warmly, present menus, and guide guests through bakery items, gourmet beverages, and chef specials.
• Actively suggest food and beverage pairings, executing upselling to optimize guest experience and average order value.
• Punch table orders accurately into the POS/KOT system and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Allocate shift stations and opening/closing side duties to junior stewards and support staff.
• Ensure brand grooming standards, hygiene etiquette, and table manners across the floor crew.
• Guide junior staff on table setup, cutlery polishing, napkin folds, and station mise-en-place.
• Maintain an attentive presence on the floor to anticipate guest requirements and check satisfaction.
• Handle delays or dining complaints diplomatically, escalating to Manager when required.
• Recognize repeat patrons and note seating and dietary preferences.

Job Summary:

The Senior Steward / Captain will supervise dining floor service, manage table allocations, and deliver refined hospitality across all service shifts. In addition to guest interaction and active upselling, this role provides operational leadership to junior service stewards to maintain impeccable table presentation, timely service delivery, and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and seat guests warmly, present menus, and guide guests through bakery items, gourmet beverages, and chef specials.
• Actively suggest food and beverage pairings, executing suggestive selling/upselling to optimize guest experience and average order value.
• Punch table orders accurately into the POS/KOT system and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.

2. Service Standards & Team Supervision:

• Allocate shift stations and opening/closing side duties to junior stewards and support staff.
• Ensure strict adherence to brand grooming standards, hygiene etiquette, and table manners across the floor crew.
• Guide junior staff on table setup, cutlery polishing, napkin folds, and station mise-en-place.
• Maintain an attentive presence on the floor to anticipate guest requirements and check on satisfaction levels.
• Handle minor service delays or dining complaints diplomatically and empathetically, escalating to the Manager when required.
• Recognize repeat patrons and note specific seating and dietary preferences.

4. Coordination & Operations Support:

• Coordinate with the bakery, kitchen, and bar counter teams regarding special dietary requests, allergens, and ticket pacing.
• Supervise shift changeover procedures, station restocking, and end-of-day floor sanitization.
• Assist the Store Manager in conducting daily pre-shift briefings and floor service audits.

Qualifications & Skills:
