Job description

Description of Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Install and set up HVAC systems, including Humidification/Dehumidification solution along with heaters, air conditioners, ventilation systems, and controls.
• Ensure proper commissioning of equipment to meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troublehoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment.
• Perform repairs or replacements of faulty components or systems.
• Inspect HVAC systems to identify potential problems or areas of improvement.
• Conduct performance tests and measurements to assess system efficiency.
• Provide technical support to customers regarding HVAC systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and address concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Prepare reports on system performance and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Train end-users or other maintenance personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Ensure that all work complies with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting HVAC systems.
• Recommend and implement system upgrades or retrofits to improve energy efficiency and performance.
• Keep abreast of advancements in HVAC technology and recommend appropriate upgrades.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and resolve issues to restore system functionality.
• Coordinate with other departments, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical support during the sales process.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on HVAC systems.
• Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards associated with HVAC operations.
• Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Experience and Skills required:

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in HVAC service and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, operation, controls, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with BMS systems and modern control systems is a plus.
• Valid HVAC certifications (if applicable).
