Job summary

Isf Industries in Chennai is seeking a procurement professional to manage supplier relationships, RFQs, and purchase orders across design, production, and projects. You will ensure timely quotations, negotiate terms, and coordinate with stores and QA to maintain inventory levels.

The role requires strong vendor management, techno-commercial evaluation, and familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office, with excellent communication to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand purchase requirements from Design, Production, Projects, and other departments.
• Identify and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, fabricated items, and consumables.
• Send RFQs to suitable suppliers and ensure timely submission of quotations with clear technical and commercial details.
• Compare and evaluate quotations technically and commercially, and coordinate with relevant departments for clarifications.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best price, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Finalize suppliers, delivery schedules, inspection requirements, logistics, and release Purchase Orders as per company procedures.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance, material delivery, shipments, and payments to ensure timely procurement.
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, QA/QC, Design, and Projects to maintain proper inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Develop alternate suppliers, identify cost-saving opportunities, support vendor audits and process improvements, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
