Job summary

MCNEX INDIA PVT LTD. in Andhra Pradesh seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing of critical electrical and electronic components.

You will lead RFQ processes, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain stock levels to prevent production delays. The role requires strong experience with SAP/Oracle ERP and MS Office, plus hands-on vendor management, cost optimization, and MIS reporting.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Procurement: manage end-to-end purchase of raw materials (sensors, drives, controllers, cables, switches, heaters, motors).
• Commercial Negotiation & RFQs: issue RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate to secure competitive pricing while ensuring quality.
• Inventory & Material Management: maintain MSL trackers and coordinate with production/stores to prevent stock-outs.
• Order Execution: raise POs and track material readiness, inspection, and on-time dispatch.
• Quality Resolution RTV: handle RTV, verify warranty claims, and pursue credits/debits.
• Capex & Facility Spares: manage Capex budgeting, BOQ/BOM, and procure mechanical tools and spares.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: align with Stores for GRN day-of-material receipt and with Accounts for timely payments.
• Data & Reporting: generate MIS reports and circulate status trackers to central teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Procurement: Manage the end-to-end purchase of critical raw materials, focusing on high-end electrical and electronic components (e.g., sensors, drives, controllers, cables, switches, heaters, and motors).
• Commercial Negotiation & RFQs: Send out RFQs, review validated supplier quotations, and prepare detailed price comparison statements for final vendor and price validation. Negotiate effectively to secure competitive pricing without compromising on material quality or service.
• Inventory & Material Management: Maintain and consistently update Minimum Stock Level (MSL) trackers for raw materials, working with production and stores teams on a daily basis to prevent stock-outs.
• Order Execution: Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up rigorously with vendors regarding material readiness, inspection, and on-time dispatch.
• Quality Resolution (RTV): Manage the Return to Vendor (RTV) process for rejected materials, verify warranty claims for rejected spares, and actively follow up for credit and debit notes.
• Capex & Facility Spares: Handle Capex budget framing (Estimation, BOQ, BOM) and procure essential mechanical tools, machinery spares, and engineering service materials (such as DG services, chiller services, and instrument calibrations).
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate closely with the Stores team to ensure the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) process is completed on the exact day of material receipt. Follow up with the Accounts team to guarantee on-time payment processing to suppliers.
• Data & Reporting: Maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports for suppliers and circulate status trackers to the central team regularly.

Technical & Domain Skills

• Enterprise Systems: Hands-on proficiency with SAP Business One, Oracle ERP, Tally, and MS Office (including MS PowerPoint).
• Procurement Expertise: Strong background in supply chain management, material management, vendor development, and payment processing.
• Cost Optimization: Proven ability to implement cost reduction strategies, prepare price comparison sheets, and evaluate L1 vendors efficiently.
• Commodity Knowledge: Deep understanding of electrical, mechanical, and packing materials to assess technical specifications accurately.
