Job summary

AP Management Consultants in Puducherry, India is seeking a procurement professional to source and manage materials, negotiate with vendors, and handle POs in ERP. The role requires knowledge of electronics components, inventory control, and cross-functional coordination with Production, Planning, Stores, and Quality.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/BTech in Electrical or Mechanical and strong communication skills to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to cost targets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, electronic components, and consumables.
• Float RFQs, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Create and release Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, and Quality departments for material requirements.
• Maintain vendor database and evaluate supplier performance.
• Monitor inventory levels and procure materials to avoid stock shortages.
• Verify purchase invoices and coordinate with Accounts for payment processing.
• Ensure procurement complies with company policies, quality standards, and cost targets.
• Prepare procurement reports and maintain purchase records.
