Job summary

BookMyShow is seeking an experienced event manager in Mumbai, responsible for the development and delivery of various live events. The ideal candidate will oversee project management from proposal through to successful execution and ensure exceptional customer service.

The applicant should have 8–15 years of event management experience, excellent organizational capabilities, and the skills to manage budgets and vendor relationships, all while fostering teamwork across diverse functions.

Job description

Your Profile:

1. Development, production and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery
2. Work closely with the business team to understand and convert event objectives
3. Work closely with department heads and internal stakeholders to conceptualise, develop and conduct the event based on defined goals and deliverables, and within timelines
4. Communicating, maintaining and developing client + vendor relationships
5. Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently
6. Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to your team
7. Traveling to onsite inspections and project managing events
8. Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery
9. Decision-Making Skills: Adhere to timelines, will need to make decisions on final copy, final art, print files etc.
10. Vendor identification and selection
11. Cost and budget management with different teams - licensing, talent management, F&B, operations, sales, volunteer, security, production, ticketing, show running etc.
12. Tactical innovation to deliver superior event experience
13. Work closely with the creative team to understand design and communication objectives
14. Handling large event operation, production projects for big brands/IPs and working with vendors across the country

Your Checklist:

1. Have experience 8 - 15 years in planning IPs/live events
2. Experience of running meetings, creating workflows, timelines charts/gantt charts & consolidating briefs
3. Excellent planning, execution, organizational and time management skills
4. Strong vision with an understanding of business and event objectives
5. Team player with effective communication skills and eye for detailing
6. Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and departments to create something great
7. Should be resourceful and nimble thinking without dependence on big budgets or stacked staffing for projects, basically someone who won't shy away from getting her/his own hands dirty
8. Experience in creating presentations and can collate all information to maintain event guides, debrief documents, venue walkthroughs, etc.
9. Love music, comedy, theatre or any kind of project that comes your way
10. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drives and sheets
