Job summary

HITEC in Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor with 3+ years experience to handle BOQ preparation, rate analysis, quantities from drawings, and billing verification.

You will coordinate with contractors, manage cost control, prepare interim certificates and MIS reports, and ensure documentation and certifications are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• DCE or BE (Civil) with minimum 65%
• 3+ years experience as Quantity Surveyor in a reputed construction company
• Experience in billing and certification checking
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical works and materials
• Excel and AutoCAD proficiency
• Working knowledge of Engineering ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare interim payment certificates and certify subcontractor bills
• Calculate quantities from drawings to facilitate item purchasing
• Generate client bills and maintain payment records
• Prepare client billing and take daily measurements
• Obtain certifications, record variations, and collect payments
• Aspect of reconciling estimated vs billed quantities
• Cost control and project coordination with contractors
• Supervise coordination of architectural, electrical, mechanical works
• Derive quantities from drawings and manage contractor invoices
• Prepare regular MIS reports on time
• Report to Head (Projects) and coordinate with project department

Role & responsibilities

Strong skills for Bill of Quantities (B.O.Q), Rate Analysis, quantity surveying, procurement, BOQ preparation, M-book calculations, Procurement Processes, Finalisation & Negotiation with Contractors & Vendors,

• Preparation of interim payment certificates, certifying Sub-Contractor's Bills.
• Calculating the quantity of constituent materials from the drawings in advance to facilitate the purchasing of items
• Generation of client bill as per required formats
• Maintain & update Payment Records.
• Preparing client billing including taking daily measurement of works.
• Getting certification, recording variation, collecting payment, complete documentation required for the job.
• well versed with rates of various items existing in the market.
• work out quantities, estimation, and billing.
• Site visits, Cost Control of the project and Coordination with contractor
• Strong skills to take out quantity from the projects
• Coordinate and monitor a team of contractor works
• Supervise coordination of architectural, electrical, mechanical works calculating the quantities as per the drawings.
• Reconciliation between estimated quantity and contractor's billed quantity.
• Finalising project cost analysis and CTC
• Prepare regular MIS reports on time
• Responsible for workout Quantities from Auto CAD drawings, Verification of Constructor Bills in a large construction company. Coordinate with Project department. Report to Head (Projects)

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate should be DCE (or) BE( civil) with minimum 65%
• Above 3 years Experience as Quantity Surveyor in a reputed Construction company.
• Candidate should have experience in billing.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical works and materials.
• Computer skills required Excel, AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Engineering ERP required
