Qualifications

As a QS (Quantity Surveyor) & Billing Executive, this role is expected to ensure accurate billing and payments for all the running projects.

Role & responsibilities

Quantity Surveying

• Prepare detailed measurement sheets from on-site data and drawings. Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for various structural and architectural components.
• Extract quantities from drawings and specifications to prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Verify site measurements.
• Verify quantities and invoices for the entire project, ensuring compliance with the contract conditions.
• Review and validate BOQs, drawings, and work orders for billing accuracy.
• Maintain detailed records of executed quantities, variation orders, and deviations.

Billing and Invoicing

• Verify the invoices submitted by the Site team for accuracy and completeness
• Verify and approve vendor invoices and payments in line with agreed contracts.
• Monitor running bills of contractors, purchase expenses, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Maintain comprehensive billing records and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes in a professional and timely manner.
• Prepare accurate and timely client bills, ensure proper documentation, and manage billing processes.
• Liaise with contractors/vendors, resolve billing-related queries and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Reconcile sub-contractor bills.
• Reconcile major materials such as cement, steel, diesel, etc., to track usage and costs effectively.
• Measure and value the work completed on-site to ensure accurate billing and payment.
• Utilize Farvision for data entry and analysis
• Reconcile quantities, rates, and payments with Project team and vendors.
• Prepare billing status reports, reconciliation statements, and project cost tracking updates.

Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain organized project documentation related to quantities, materials, invoices, and payments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits

Project Coordination and Reporting

• Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely and accurate measurement, documentation, and billing as per agreed terms and conditions.
• Receive change requests, review them thoroughly, and amend work orders accordingly.

Cost Management

• Monitor project budgets and control costs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement them without compromising quality

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Tech / Diploma in Civil
• 4 to 6 years of working experience in a civil construction company, specifically in QS and client billing.
• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and billing within the construction industry.
• Skilled in understanding technical discipline processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical reports
• Proficiency in construction cost estimation software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in calculations and documentation.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
• Understanding of contract documentation, terms, and conditions in construction projects.
