Job summary

Ig3 Infra in Bangalore (Devanahalli) seeks a Quantity Survey (QS) Engineer with 7–12 years of experience to manage quantity take-offs, BOQs, and measurements for civil and interior works on active projects. You will certify executed quantities, prepare RA and final bills, monitor project costs, track variations, and maintain measurement books and project reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • 2-8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, billing, and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and verify quantity take-offs, measurements, and BOQs for civil and interior works.
  • Measure and certify executed work quantities in accordance with drawings, specs, and contracts.
  • Prepare, verify, and process contractor and subcontractor RA and final bills.
  • Monitor project progress against BOQs and identify quantity variations and scope changes.
  • Maintain accurate measurement books, quantity records, billing docs, and project reports.
  • Track project costs, support budget monitoring, and assist in cost control and quantity reconciliation.
  • Evaluate variation orders, prepare quantity comparisons, and support commercial assessments.
  • Coordinate with PMC, contractors, consultants, and site teams for timely certification and billing.
  • Review drawings/specs to identify discrepancies and resolve quantity-related issues.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports on quantities, billing status, project progress, and cost performance.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and company procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Quantity Survey (QS) Engineer

Experience: 7-12 Years

Location: Bangalore, Devanahalli

Notice period: Immediate joiner- 15 days

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and verify quantity take-offs, measurements, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for civil and interior works.
  • Measure and certify executed work quantities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Prepare, verify, and process contractor and subcontractor running account (RA) bills and final bills.
  • Monitor project progress against BOQs and identify quantity variations, deviations, and scope changes.
  • Maintain accurate measurement books (MB), quantity records, billing documentation, and project reports.
  • Track project costs, support budget monitoring, and assist in cost control and quantity reconciliation.
  • Evaluate variation orders, prepare quantity comparisons, and support commercial assessments.
  • Coordinate with the Project Management Consultant (PMC), contractors, consultants, and site teams to ensure timely certification and billing.
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies and resolve quantity-related issues.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports on quantities, billing status, project progress, and cost performance.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and company procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • 2- 8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, billing, and cost control.
  • Experience in contractor billing, measurement certification, and variation management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity estimation software (preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Sound understanding of construction contracts, measurement standards, and billing procedures.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines
