Job summary

Shahi is seeking an Executive / Sr. Executive in Bengaluru to manage procurement activities.

The role requires 3-6 years of experience in purchase operations, with responsibilities including receiving PO proposals, stock checks, supplier evaluation, price negotiations, PO preparation, and ensuring timely delivery. The incumbent will coordinate with stores, accounts, and documentation teams, oversee sample handovers, and ensure proper records and approvals are in place.

Responsibilities

Role: Executive / Sr. Executive

Experience : 3-6 Yrs

Location: Bangalore

Roles and Responsibilities :

• To receive purchase order proposals from the marketing/internal customer section and understand the requirements.
• To check the stock before taking a decision for the quantity to be purchased.
• To identify the suppliers and assess their suitability for the supply of material as required.
• To negotiate with the supplier for the price and other terms of supply and finalize the orders.
• To prepare the purchase orders and verify them before posting.
• Get the PI, lab dips, samples from suppliers & handover to marketing/Internal customers; if required, get approvals.
• Follow up with the supplier for the timely delivery of the materials.
• Meet suppliers.
• To make sure of getting ordered goods In-house before PCD.
• Arrange samples for new developments.
• Co-ordination with stores.
• Coordination with the documentation department for clearance & for applying
• necessary docs.
• Follow up with merchants for day-to-day activities.
• Follow up with accounts department for payments & related docs (i.e., LC, TT, ETC.,).
• To maintain the documents & records of purchase activities.
• To attend to supplier-related issues.
• To carry out any job assigned by the seniors.
• Prepare comparative statement, PO registers and trim approval cards.
• Review the PI supplier-wise POPS.
