Job summary

Unichem Laboratories seeks an Export Compliance professional to manage DGFT filings, EPCG and incentive schemes, and NDPS/SEZ related compliance. You will coordinate with DGFT, Customs, and internal teams to ensure timely submissions, accurate documentation, and risk mitigation across multiple regulatory regimes.

The role covers licensing, incentive claims, and comprehensive regulatory reporting, with emphasis on accuracy, deadlines, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience with DGFT filings and export documentation.
  • Knowledge of Advance Authorization, EPCG, and export incentives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file online Advance Authorizations.
  • Coordinate with DGFT and Customs for related matters.
  • Monitor Export Obligations (EO) to avoid shortfall or excess exports.
  • Initiate licence amendments, revalidations, EO extensions, and other modifications.
  • Arrange and obtain CENVAT and Consumption Certificates from Chartered Accountants.
  • Apply for Invalidation Letters and Supply Certificates from SEZ authorities.
  • Review licence details on export invoices and approve shipments.
  • Submit licence files for redemption with DGFT within timelines.
  • Coordinate submission of redemption certificates to Customs for bond cancellation.
  • Monitor EPCG licence utilization and timely EO fulfilment.
  • Coordinate installation certificates from manufacturing plants.
  • Submit installation certificates to DGFT.
  • Prepare and file EPCG redemption applications.
  • Coordinate with Customs for bond cancellation after redemption.
  • Minimize duty/interest liabilities from non-compliance or shortfall.
  • Prepare and submit MAI applications via Pharmexcil portal.
  • Coordinate for CA certificates and supporting documents.
  • Track approvals and reimbursements under MAI.
  • Process imports/exports documentation and regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain records for DGFT, Customs, CBN, and other requirements.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

Job Responsibilities
1. Advance Licence
  • Prepare and file online applications for Advance Authorizations.
  • Coordinate and liaise with DGFT and Customs authorities for related matters.
  • Monitor and ensure fulfilment of Export Obligations (EO) to avoid shortfall or excess exports.
  • Initiate licence amendments, revalidations, EO extensions, and other modifications as required.
  • Arrange and obtain CENVAT and Consumption Certificates from Chartered Accountants.
  • Apply for Invalidation Letters and Supply Certificates from SEZ authorities.
  • Review Advance Authorization details on export invoices and provide shipment approvals.
  • Submit licence files for redemption with DGFT within stipulated timelines.
  • Coordinate submission of redemption certificates to Customs for bond cancellation.
2. EPCG Licence
  • Monitor EPCG licence utilization and ensure timely fulfilment of Export Obligations.
  • Coordinate installation certificates from manufacturing plants.
  • Submit installation certificates to DGFT within prescribed timelines.
  • Prepare and file EPCG redemption applications.
  • Coordinate with Customs authorities for bond cancellation after licence redemption.
  • Minimize potential duty and interest liabilities arising from non-compliance or shortfall in obligations.
3. Export Incentive Schemes
  • Manage applications and claims under:
    • RODTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products)
    • Duty Drawback Scheme
  • Track claim status and ensure timely realization of benefits.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to export incentives.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for claim validation and compliance.
4. Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Compliance
  • Prepare and submit online applications for Import and Export NOCs/Permits.
  • Track utilization of permits and submission of Proof of Import/Export to CBN.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual returns with Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN).
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and warehouse locations for narcotic drug utilization data.
  • Maintain records related to procurement, utilization, and compliance requirements.
  • Handle documentation and regulatory requirements for destruction of expired narcotic materials.
  • Coordinate with marketing and other functional teams for permit planning and compliance.
5. Market Access Initiative (MAI)
  • Prepare and submit online MAI applications through the Pharmexcil portal.
  • Coordinate for Chartered Accountant certificates and supporting documentation.
  • Follow up with Regulatory Affairs and other departments for required documents.
  • Liaise with Pharmexcil and government authorities regarding application status.
  • Prepare and submit responses to queries raised by authorities.
  • Track approvals and reimbursement processes under the scheme.
6. Import & Export Regulatory Documentation
  • Process imports and export applications and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, CBN, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of licences, permits, certificates, and statutorysubmissions.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Prepare periodic compliance and status reports for management.
