About the Role:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented professional for the position of SeniorAssociate – EXIM. The incumbent will be responsible for managing Foreign Trade Policy (FTP)benefits, DGFT-related matters, export incentive schemes, customs-related documentation,and regulatory compliances. The role requires extensive coordination with DGFT, CustomsAuthorities, Export Promotion Councils, banks, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensuretimely availment of export benefits and compliance with applicable regulations.The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in DGFT authorizations, redemptionprocesses, RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, ICEGATE operations, BRC management, and export-importdocumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. DGFT Authorisations & Foreign Trade Policy Benefits
- Handle applications, amendments, and post-approval compliances under variousDGFT schemes.
- Manage Advance Authorisation, EPCG, and other FTP-related benefits as applicable.
- Prepare and submit applications through the DGFT portal.
- Coordinate with DGFT authorities for approvals, clarifications, and issue resolution.
- Track obligations, timelines, and scheme compliance requirements.
2. Redemption & Export Obligation Management
- Prepare and submit redemption applications
- Monitor Export Obligation (EO) fulfilment against authorizations.
- Maintain records of exports, imports, and utilization data.
- Ensure timely closure of authorizations and compliance with DGFT requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments for supporting documents and reconciliations.
3. RoDTEP & Export Incentive Management
- Manage end-to-end RoDTEP claim verification and reconciliation.
- Review shipping bills to ensure accurate declaration and claim eligibility.
- Monitor realization of benefits and maintain claim records.
- Resolve discrepancies through coordination with Customs, DGFT, and consultants.
4. Duty Drawback & Deemed Duty Drawback
- Prepare and verify Duty Drawback claims.
- Handle Deemed Export Drawback documentation and submissions.
- Ensure compliance with Customs and DGFT requirements
- Maintain claim records, reconciliations, and audit trails.
- Follow up for sanction and receipt of benefits.
5. BRC / e-BRC Management
- Coordinate with banks for generation and availability of e-BRCs.
- Monitor export realization status and pending remittances
- Reconcile shipping bills with e-BRC data.
- Resolve discrepancies relating to export proceeds realization.
- Ensure timely availability of e-BRCs for DGFT and incentive claims.
6. IEC, RCMC & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage IEC-related amendments, updates, and renewals
- Coordinate renewal and maintenance of RCMC registrations.
- Maintain compliance records under Foreign Trade Policy requirements.
- Liaise with Export Promotion Councils and relevant authorities.
- Track statutory deadlines and regulatory obligations.
7. ICEGATE & Customs Coordination
- Handle ICEGATE registrations, amendments, and operational activities.
- Verify export and import documentation uploaded through customs systems.
- Monitor shipping bill status, EGM status, scroll generation, and related reports.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics providers, and customs authorities.
- Resolve system-related and operational issues affecting export benefits.
8. Export Documentation & Compliance
- Review export documentation including shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, Bills ofLading/Airway Bills, and related documents
- Ensure compliance with Foreign Trade Policy, Customs Regulations, and RBI guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and document repositories.
- Support internal and external audits related to EXIM operations.
- Prepare periodic reports on export incentives, authorizations, redemptions, andpending claims.
- Conduct data analysis and reconciliation of exports, imports, benefits, and realizations.
- Maintain dashboards and trackers for management review.
- Support business decisions through timely and accurate reporting.
- Liaise with DGFT offices, Customs Authorities, Banks, Export Promotion Councils, andconsultants.
- Coordinate with internal departments including Finance, Accounts, Logistics, SupplyChain, and Commercial teams
- Ensure timely resolution of regulatory and operational issues and queries.
- Strong knowledge of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) and DGFT procedures.
- Hands-on experience in Authorisation management and redemption processes.
- Working knowledge of RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, and Deemed Export Benefits.
- Expertise in ICEGATE operations and Customs documentation.
- Sound understanding of e-BRC processes and export realization requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis and reconciliation.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet regulatory timelines.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Exposure to DGFT, Customs, FTP incentive schemes, and export compliance functions.
- Ability to independently manage DGFT Related activities and coordination.
