Job summary

Luminous Power Technologies (P) Ltd is seeking a Senior Executive - EHS to lead EHS compliance and safety initiatives at its Gopalpur, Odisha site. The role focuses on implementing statutory EHS requirements, conducting inspections, and driving CAPA actions with a focus on risk reduction.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/engineering/chemical or battery environments and hold a Diploma/BE/B.Tech with Govt. Industrial Safety certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Industrial Safety or equivalent.
• Mandatory: Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety (Govt. approved).
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering/chemical/battery industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of EHS statutory requirements and shop-floor safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor all EHS systems as per statutory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, risk assessments, JSA, and PTW audits.
• Ensure compliance with OSH Code, Factories Act guidelines, pollution control norms, fire safety norms, and environmental regulations.
• Support incident reporting, root cause analysis (RCA), and CAPA closure.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety trainings, induction programs, and awareness sessions for employees and contract workforce.
• Monitor contractor safety compliance, PPE usage, and adherence to safety procedures at site.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, audits, renewals, and documentation as per compliance calendar.
• Ensure safety readiness during machine installation, commissioning, and production start-up phases.
• Maintain EHS records, MIS reports, and support ISO/IMS/OHS audits.
• Assist in emergency preparedness, mock drills, and implementation of fire protection measures.
