Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer Estimation, Costing & Billing to handle project estimation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, contractor billing, client billing, cost control, and commercial coordination. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction estimation, BOQ, billing processes, and project cost management.

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs and project cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed estimates and rate analysis for civil and related construction works.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents for estimation purposes.
• Prepare and verify contractor/subcontractor bills based on actual site measurements.
• Prepare client RA bills and ensure timely submission and certification.
• Verify measurements, quantities, rates and supporting documents.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variations.
• Prepare variation statements, extra-item statements and deviation statements.
• Coordinate with Project, Site, Purchase, Planning and Accounts teams for billing and commercial matters.
• Check work orders, BOQs, contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Maintain records of measurements, bills, estimates and cost-related documents.
• Assist in tendering, rate negotiation and vendor/subcontractor finalization.
• Track material consumption and project expenditure to support cost control.
• Prepare MIS reports related to project costing, billing and budget utilization.
• Ensure billing and estimation activities are carried out as per company procedures and project requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of Construction Estimation, Costing & Billing.
• Good understanding of BOQ, BBS, Quantity Take-off and Rate Analysis.
• Knowledge of RA Bills, Final Bills, Measurement Sheets and Work Orders.
• Knowledge of civil construction materials, specifications and construction practices.
• Good command of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for reading and interpreting drawings.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good coordination, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
