Job summary

Capacite is seeking a Client Billing Engineer in Mumbai with a strong background in civil billing for high-rise construction projects. Responsibilities include preparing running account bills, coordinating for timely certifications, and managing variations and final bills.

The role requires a Civil engineering degree (B.E. or Diploma) and a minimum of 8 years of experience in client billing, with thorough knowledge of BOQs, measurements, and revenue recognition.

Qualifications

• B.E. Civil or Diploma in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in client billing.
• Experience in high-rise / super high-rise construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit client RA (Running Account) bills as per contract terms and project milestones.
• Ensure timely certification and approval of client bills by coordinating with clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Prepare quantity measurements, BOQs, and billing abstracts.
• Verify work executed at site and reconcile quantities with approved drawings and BOQs.
• Track bill certifications, payments, retention amounts, and outstanding receivables.
• Coordinate with Planning, QS, Contracts, and Site Execution teams for billing-related documentation.
• Prepare variation claims, extra item bills, escalation claims, and final bills.
• Maintain billing records, measurement sheets, invoices, and supporting documents.
• Monitor project cash flow related to client billing and payment collections.
• Resolve billing queries raised by clients or consultants in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with contractual conditions, billing procedures, and company policies.
• Assist in project cost monitoring and revenue recognition.
