• 7–12 years of core experience in billing and quantity surveying in Real Estate/Developer industry.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Experience with ERP software such as SAP or Oracle.
• Knowledge of FIDIC conditions and Indian standards.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Billing Engineer to join our Engineering team in Mumbai. As a Senior Billing Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end billing, quantity surveying, and cost-control operations for our upcoming and ongoing high-rise residential and commercial projects. You will act as the crucial link between the site execution team, contractors, and the finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial settlements.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Certification

• Prepare, check, and process contractor Running Account (RA) bills, final bills, and petty contractor bills strictly in accordance with the contract terms and work orders.
• Conduct physical joint measurements at the site for bill verification and cross-check measurements against approved construction drawings.
• Identify, calculate, and process claims for extra items, variations, and deviations in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Ensure timely processing of bills to maintain project cash flow and contractor momentum.

Quantity Surveying & Estimation

• Extract quantities from AutoCAD drawings and prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Conduct rate analysis for new items based on current market rates and standard data books.
• Prepare detailed estimates and cost sheets for upcoming phases of development.

Reconciliation & Cost Control

• Prepare and monitor the material reconciliation statements (Cement, Steel, Tiles, RMC, etc.) at regular intervals to minimize wastage and pilferage.
• Track project budgets against actual expenditures and flag potential overruns to senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of material indents, consumption, and closing stock.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all billing records, work orders, amendments, and measurement books (MB).
• Coordinate with the execution team, procurement team, and finance department for smooth site operations and payment clearance.
• Ensure all billing and contract documentation aligns with RERA guidelines and local statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

Education

• B.Tech/B.E. or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.

Experience & Skills

• 7-12 years of core experience in billing and quantity surveying, exclusively within the Real Estate / Developer industry.
• Proven track record of managing billing for large-scale, high-rise residential or commercial projects.
• Strong technical proficiency in reading architectural and structural drawings.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience with ERP software (such as SAP, Oracle, or specialized construction management systems).
• Strong understanding of contract administration, FIDIC conditions (or equivalent), and Indian standard codes.
• Excellent numerical ability, high ethical standards, and a keen eye for detail.
• Solid communication and negotiation skills.
