Job summary

DGS Technical Services in Bangalore is seeking a Design Engineer- Electrical to develop comprehensive SLDs, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts. You will perform sizing models for cables, busbars, transformers, and breakers, and conduct specialized simulations for load flow and protection coordination.

Responsibilities include generating supplier-ready specifications for high-value electrical gear and producing BOMs, cable schedules, and revision logs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawing standards and norms.
• Experience with LV/HV electrical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop SLDs, wiring schematics, and equipment layouts.
• Perform sizing and allocation for cables, busbars, transformers, and breakers.
• Run load flow, short-circuit, relay coordination, and lightning protection studies.
• Prepare buy-specifications for switchgear, transformers, and UPS.

• 1. Develop comprehensive single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics, and equipment layouts.


• 2. Complete essential sizing and allocation models including cable, busbar, transformer, and breaker metrics.


• 3. Perform specialized simulations covering load flow, short-circuit calculations, relay protection coordination, and lightning protection systems.


• 4. Generate technical buy-specifications for high-value machinery including switchgear, transformers, UPS units, and automated distribution panels.


• 5. Produce accurate bills of materials (BOMs), cable schedules, assembly packages, and engineering revision logs.
