Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a P&C Design Engineer for Hyderabad/Coimbatore/Chennai/Bangalore/Pune with a hybrid work model. The role involves assisting with electrical design across project timelines, preparing specifications, and coordinating with protections, controls, and civils teams.

You will produce electrical diagrams, cable schedules, and studies, while ensuring safety and compliance with CDM regulations. Collaboration with clients and design coordinators will be integral to project progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical design aspects of a project in line with timescales.
• Prepare technical specifications and select electrical equipment.
• Coordinate electrical design with Protection/Controls and Civils designers.
• Prepare Electrical Diagrams: SLDs, schematics, interlocking, block and multicore diagrams.
• Prepare Cable Schedules and Calculations for HV, LV & DC cables.
• Manage site communications design with control’s designer including SCADA.
• Assist in system studies (P28/29, ENA G5/5, G99 compliance).
• Liaise with Design coordinator to update Client on progress.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all electrical Design aspects of a project in line with the project timescales
• Preparing technical specifications and selecting electrical equipment for the project
• Coordinating the electrical design and liaising with the Protection/Controls and Civils designers.
• Preparing Electrical Diagrams such as (SLDs, AC/DC Schematics, Interlocking, Block and Multicore Diagrams.
• Preparing Cable Schedules and Calculations (HV, LV & DC cables)
• Managing the site communications design with the control’s designer, Including Multicore and SCADA design.
• Assisting in the preparation of the system studies (P28/29, ENA G5/5,G99 Compliance)
• Liaising and providing technical support to the Design coordinator so the Client can be informed on the progress of the design.
• Assisting with preparing PGMD for the clients G99 Applications.
• Preparing Design risk assessments ensuring that the design is safe and in line with the relevant Health and safety and CDM regulations.
