Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a P&C Design Engineer to contribute to electrical design activities across multiple locations in hybrid settings.

The role involves preparing diagrams, cable calculations, and specifications, while coordinating with protection, controls, and civils teams to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Assist with electrical design aspects of a project in line with project timescales.
• Prepare technical specifications and select electrical equipment for the project.
• Coordinate the electrical design and liaise with the Protection/Controls and Civils designers.
• Prepare Electrical Diagrams such as (SLDs, AC/DC Schematics, Interlocking, Block and Multicore Diagrams).
• Prepare Cable Schedules and Calculations (HV, LV & DC cables).
• Manage the site communications design with the control’s designer, including Multicore and SCADA design.
• Assist in preparation of system studies (P28/29, ENA G5/5, G99 Compliance).
• Liaise with Design coordinator to update Client on progress.
• Assist with PGMD for G99 Applications.
• Prepare Design risk assessments ensuring safety per Health and Safety/CDM.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all electrical Design aspects of a project in line with the project timescales
• Preparing technical specifications and selecting electrical equipment for the project
• Coordinating the electrical design and liaising with the Protection/Controls and Civils designers.
• Preparing Electrical Diagrams such as (SLDs, AC/DC Schematics, Interlocking, Block and Multicore Diagrams.
• Preparing Cable Schedules and Calculations (HV, LV & DC cables)
• Managing the site communications design with the control’s designer, Including Multicore and SCADA design.
• Assisting in the preparation of the system studies (P28/29, ENA G5/5,G99 Compliance)
• Liaising and providing technical support to the Design coordinator so the Client can be informed on the progress of the design.
• Assisting with preparing PGMD for the clients G99 Applications.
• Preparing Design risk assessments ensuring that the design is safe and in line with the relevant Health and safety and CDM regulations.
