Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a P&C Design Engineer to contribute to electrical design aspects across projects. You will prepare SLDs, AC/DC schematics, cable schedules, and coordinate with protection, controls, and civils designers to meet project timelines.

Based in hybrid India, the role involves risk assessments, ENA G5/5 and G99 compliance support, and liaison with clients on design progress. Key skills include electrical design, SCADA, and interlocking diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical design for projects and ability to prepare technical specs.
• Knowledge of ENA G5/5, G99 compliance and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all electrical design aspects of a project in line with project timescales.
• Prepare technical specs and select electrical equipment for the project.
• Coordinate electrical design with Protection/Controls and Civils designers.
• Prepare Electrical Diagrams such as SLDs, AC/DC Schematics, Interlocking, Block and Multicore Diagrams.
• Prepare Cable Schedules and calculations (HV, LV & DC cables).
• Manage site communications design with the control’s designer, including SCADA design.
• Assist in system studies (P28/29, ENA G5/5, G99 Compliance).
• Liaise with the Design coordinator to update client on progress.
• Support G99 applications and design risk assessments per health and safety regulations.

Location: Hyderabad/ Coimbatore/ Chennai / Bangalore / Pune (Hybrid)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all electrical Design aspects of a project in line with the project timescales
• Preparing technical specifications and selecting electrical equipment for the project
• Coordinating the electrical design and liaising with the Protection/Controls and Civils designers.
• Preparing Electrical Diagrams such as (SLDs, AC/DC Schematics, Interlocking, Block and Multicore Diagrams.
• Preparing Cable Schedules and Calculations (HV, LV & DC cables)
• Managing the site communications design with the control’s designer, Including Multicore and SCADA design.
• Assisting in the preparation of the system studies (P28/29, ENA G5/5,G99 Compliance)
• Liaising and providing technical support to the Design coordinator so the Client can be informed on the progress of the design.
• Assisting with preparing PGMD for the clients G99 Applications.
• Preparing Design risk assessments ensuring that the design is safe and in line with the relevant Health and safety and CDM regulations.
