Job summary

HNC Motion Control is seeking a skilled CNC retrofit engineer to lead modernization projects across a range of CNC machines. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to assess requirements, design retrofits, and implement faultless installations from commissioning to after-sales support.

The role emphasizes hands-on expertise with CNC controllers, servo drives, and automation components, along with thorough understanding of electrical drawings and control circuits.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC retrofitting, maintenance, and automation is valued.
• Knowledge of CNC controllers and electrical systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle CNC machine retrofitting, modernization, and upgradation projects.
• Work with CNC controllers, servo drives, servo motors, and related automation systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot CNC machine electrical and control-related issues.
• Execute CNC controller installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
• Work on CNC turning centres, VMCs, HMCs, grinding machines, and other CNC equipment.
• Understand machine electrical drawings, control circuits, and CNC system integration.
• Coordinate with customers to understand technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Conduct site visits, machine inspections, technical assessments, and project execution.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and after-sales service.
• Coordinate with the internal team to ensure timely project completion.

• Candidates with strong hands-on CNC retrofitting expertise will be preferred, even if their total experience is slightly lower.
• Experience in Mitsubishi CNC controllers and industrial automation will be an advantage.
