Job summary

Doiter Casting in India is seeking a skilled CNC maintenance technician with 3-7 years of experience to maintain and troubleshoot CNC turning, VMC, and related equipment. You will diagnose faults, monitor performance and coordinate with production teams to keep machines available.

The role requires knowledge of Fanuc or Siemens controls, electrical PLCs, servo and spindle drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and a strong focus on preventive maintenance and safety practices.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of CNC machine maintenance experience in manufacturing or machining.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC turning, VMC and other machining equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults in CNC machines.
• Diagnose CNC control system alarms and faults in Fanuc, Siemens or other CNC controllers.
• Maintain servo motors, spindle motors, drives, encoders, sensors.
• Attend machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and equipment history records.
• Monitor machine performance and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production teams to improve machine availability.
• Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers and service engineers when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout.
• Support installation, commissioning, calibration activities.
• Analyze breakdown data and implement continuous improvement measures to improve machine reliability.

4. Maintain and troubleshoot servo motors, spindle motors, drives, encoders, sensors.


5. Attend machine breakdowns promptly and minimize production downtime.


6. Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, checklists and equipment history records.


7. Monitor machine performance, identify recurring failures and implement corrective actions.


8. Coordinate with production teams to ensure machine availability and improve equipment efficiency.


9. Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers and service engineers when required.


10. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout.


11. Support installation, commissioning, machine shifting and calibration activities.
