Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the project site.

• Coordinate civil works including excavation, RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring and finishing.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Check materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards.
• Take measurements and maintain records for contractor billing.
• Monitor labour productivity and resource utilisation.
• Conduct site inspections and identify issues or deviations.
• Coordinate with Quality Control and MEP teams to avoid clashes.
• Ensure proper sequencing and adherence to project schedules.

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure construction works are executed as per approved architectural and structural drawings.
• Coordinate and supervise civil works including excavation, PCC, RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring and finishing works.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and site teams for smooth execution.
• Check materials and workmanship to ensure required quality standards are maintained.
• Take measurements and maintain records of completed works for contractor billing.
• Monitor labour productivity and ensure proper utilisation of materials and resources.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify construction issues or deviations.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control and MEP teams to avoid clashes and rework.
• Ensure proper sequencing of construction activities and adherence to project schedules.
• Verify reinforcement, shuttering, levels, dimensions and other works before concreting.
• Maintain daily progress reports, site records, checklists and other project documentation.
• Ensure proper safety practices are followed at the construction site.
• Coordinate rectification of defects and ensure timely completion of snagging works.
• Monitor construction progress and report delays, technical issues and site requirements to the Project Manager.
• Assist in coordinating inspections, testing and project handover activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 12 years of experience in residential or building construction.
• Good knowledge of RCC, masonry, plastering and finishing works.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Good site coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office will be an added advantage.
