Job summary

Mettler-Toledo International, Inc in Mumbai, India is seeking a GL Accountant to manage month-end close, ledger scrutiny and reconciliations across Bank, AP/AR, intercompany and tax processes.

You will support MIS reporting, tax compliance, and audits, ensuring SOX controls and strong documentation, while partnering with global teams to deliver accurate financial results.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on GL experience.
• Strong accounting fundamentals (exposure to US GAAP preferred).
• Proven experience with month-end close and reconciliation.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end / year-end close and related journal entries.
• Perform ledger scrutiny and variance analysis.
• Independently manage reconciliations: Bank, Prepayments, Accruals, Provisions, AP/AR, Intercompany, Tax.
• Manage Fixed Asset accounting (capitalization, depreciation, disposals, reconciliation).
• Support MIS reporting, tax compliance, and statutory audits.
• Ensure SOX compliance and strong documentation standards.
• Coordinate with business units and auditors to resolve issues promptly.
