Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO in Mumbai, India seeks a seasoned GL Accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, and fixed asset processes. You will participate in MIS reporting, tax compliance, and audits, while ensuring SOX compliance and strong documentation.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of GL experience, solid accounting fundamentals, and proficiency in Excel with excellent communication skills for stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on GL experience.
• Strong accounting fundamentals with US GAAP exposure.
• Proven experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end / year-end close with accruals, provisions, and journal entries.
• Scrutinize ledgers and perform variance analysis.
• Manage reconciliations: Bank, Prepayments, Accruals, Provisions, AP/AR, Intercompany, Tax.
• Oversee Fixed Asset accounting: capitalization, depreciation, disposals, reconciliation.
• Support MIS reporting, tax compliance, and statutory audits.
• Ensure SOX compliance and strong documentation standards.
• Coordinate with business units and auditors to resolve issues promptly.

What You Need to Succeed

• 3-5 years of hands-on GL experience.
