Job summary

Soho House & Co in Mumbai is seeking a diligent Security Officer to protect guests, staff and facilities while delivering high standards of service. The role requires quick decision-making, teamwork and a proactive approach to safety in a luxury hospitality setting.

You will be part of the Security Team, handling emergencies, patrols, incident reporting and guest assistance, with ongoing training and development offered through the company.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with good communication.
• Punctual, reliable and trustworthy with a sense of urgency.
• Comfortable with systems and administrative tasks; able to supervise a small team.

Responsibilities

• Offer professional, friendly, engaging service to guests.
• Ensure safety and security of guests, colleagues and premises.
• Act as part of Emergency Response Team for fires, accidents and medical calls.
• Investigate violations of law or hotel policy and report findings.
• Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid when required.
• Identify and report fire or health hazards and safety risks.
• Record and investigate incidents, accidents or suspicious activity.
• Carry out floor patrols, safety audits and crowd control.
• Perform departmental key control audits and maintain records.
• Maintain Daily Activity Report in computer systems.
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative way.
• Follow all safety policies and department procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Security Manager and hotel management.

What We Are Looking For

We are primarily looking for someone who is used to working in hospitality as the position requires understanding of how operations work. You are good with people and have a positive attitude and good problem-solving skills.

You are also comfortable with systems and administrative tasks and with managing a little team and keep them motivated.

The role...

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, Colleagues and hotel premises.
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance.
• Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy is investigated and reported.
• Respond to all emergency situations and provide First Aid.
• Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards.
• Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations.
• Conduct regular floor patrols, safety audit and crowd control
• Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records.
• Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report.
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned by Security Manager & hotel management.
