Job summary

Dalmia Cement plant in Andhra Pradesh seeks a senior Maintenance & Operations professional to oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for crushers, conveyors, and material handling systems.

You will lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, plan major overhauls, ensure MTBF improvements, and enforce safety protocols including LOTO and dust control in challenging zones.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for crushers, conveyors, stackers, and other plant equipment.
• Root cause analysis (RCA) to improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
• Knowledge of safety and LOTO procedures in dusty and hazardous zones.
• Experience in spare parts management and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for crushers, stackers/reclaimers, conveyors, screeners, and raw material feed systems.
• Plan and execute major overhauls, shutdowns, and equipment revamps to minimize downtime.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians and maintenance workers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, LOTO, and dust-control measures in hazardous plant zones.

Role & responsibilities

• Maintenance & Operations Management - Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for primary/secondary limestone crushers impact, stackers/reclaimers, long-distance belt conveyors, screeners, and raw material feed systems, truck tipplers. Plan and execute major overhauls, shutdown activities, and critical equipment revamps to ensure minimum downtime.
• Equipment Reliability & Performance Optimization - Analyze equipment failures (Root Cause Analysis - RCA) and implement corrective measures to increase Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).Optimize wear components (crusher blow bars, hammers, wear liners, conveyor belt splices, and scraper blades) to extend operational lifespans.

Ensure optimal material flow rate and minimize spillage, blockage, or conveyor belt mis tracking.

• Spare Parts & Inventory Control - Manage critical spare parts inventory (bearings, gearboxes, crusher liners, belts, drive shafts, and hydraulic components). Prepare technical specifications and evaluate vendor proposals for mechanical spares and service contracts. Maintain cost-effective maintenance operations while controlling section budget variances.
• Team Leadership & Resource Allocation - Lead, mentor, and allocate work to a team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and contracted maintenance labor.
• Ensure technical upskilling and training for team members on safe maintenance techniques and modern equipment handling.
• Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance (HSE) - Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), work permit systems, and confined space protocols in dusty and hazardous zones. Ensure effective operation of dust suppression systems, bag filters, and spillage control units in the RMH zone.
