Job summary

ACG World in India seeks a maintenance engineer to ensure continuous operation of HCMs and utilities. You will monitor line equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and drive downtime reduction while coordinating with engineering teams.

Responsibilities include root cause analysis for failures, CAPA implementation, and ensuring spares availability. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Ensure uninterrupted operation of HCMs by daily monitoring and on-line corrections.
Monitor equipment performance in HCM, mucilage, PFD and utilities to meet downtime targets.
Carry out root cause analysis for repeated failures of HCMs and implement CAPA.
Ensure availability of critical spares and ready-to-use parts on the shop floor.
Prepare downtime analyses and PM compliance reports.

Job description

Ensure smooth operation and Maintenance of HCMs round the clock, Utilities (water system, HVAC system, compress air, boiler/hot water generator, vacuum system, plant lighting) HCM, mucilage preparation equipment, ATS, Printing, Packaging, Area equipment and processes with respect to Engineering to deliver desired efficiency and up-time
Plan & implement cost control initiatives in online maintenance by synchronization of process automation, Increase in effective uptime of HCMs by optimization of the on line quality corrections and colour change time.
Primary responsibilities

Review and maintain downtime within target, adherence to R & M, Stores Spares budget, ECR and maintain them within target
Ensure compliance to statutory and regulatory obligations.

Functional

Core

1. Achieve reduction in downtime on account of engineering

Ensure Uninterrupted working of HCMs by daily monitoring and on line necessary corrections, on time preventive maintenance in order to upkeep manufacturing process.
Monitor and control the operation of equipment and machineries with respect to Engineering in areas like HCM, Mucilage preparation, PFD and Utilities in order to achieve downtime target
Monitor and control process parameters and ensure implementation of corrective actions for utilities and HCMs on regular basis
Carry out root cause analysis for repeated failure of HCMs and its subassembly, implement effective CAPA in co-ordination with Engineering Online Leads and team member.
Ensure availability of critical spares and change parts of HCMs at shopfloor in ready to use condition to maintain plant up-time
Analyse data from available logbooks/HMI/SCADA/IIOT systems and accordingly review the line of actions to be implemented for effective mitigation
Ensure proper online/ offline documentation is maintained related to process equipment’s, HCM and all Utility equipment’s
Support to Develop alternate vendor & conduct risk assessments in order to mitigate risk and adhere to compliance.
Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, c-GMP, regulatory & statutory compliances, TPM and other applicable norms
Monitor online process parameter wrt HVAC, Water system, Hot water generator and Air compressor etc.
Monitor ETP operation and support as and when required
Ensure execution engineering electrical maintenance activities in absence of engineering electrical maintenance lead

2. Plan & execute capacity expansion and other improvement projects in the facility

Implement online project for various ongoing improvement of systems & processes
Upgradation of automation system for process synchronization / optimization
Coordinate with external & internal SMEs, stakeholders and consultants for designing and implementation of systems, wherever required.
Support other functions in execution of cross functional projects
Improve and sustain the productivity - Control the downtime of HCM as per the target and achieve the desired quality output to meet the budget
Execution of innovative projects in various fields based on advanced technologies for synchronization of process/utility by automation, productivity increase and energy conservation
Ensure execution of operation of HVAC, Water system and maintain as per schedule
Carry out maintenance of Utility & HCM equipment by utilizing equipment / Machine downtime
Support to Project function for any upgradation in utility
Analyse operational efficiency of equipment and elevate to improve in case of under performance
Ensure cost optimization in improvement projects with vendor development
Ensure reduction in Stores spares and R&M cost

Internal Process

Prepare and share CTQ compliance report on daily/weekly/monthly basis with Online Lead/HOD
Prepare, review and submit downtime analysis report, PM Compliance report and various MIS reports on regular basis to On Line lead

People Development

Develop associates on multi skilling and Multitask.
Provide on job and classroom training to associates

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
