Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, Automotive and Farm Equipment, Mohali, is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to lead shift activities, coordinate with production, and drive preventive maintenance across conveyors, painting booths, ovens, and assembly lines. You will manage spares, vendor coordination, and digitization efforts to improve uptime.

The role emphasizes safety, ISO documentation, and energy optimization.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in conveyor systems and related equipment.
• Experience with PT/CED equipment and pumps, exchangers, filters and burners.
• Experience with spray painting booth equipment and related pumps and filters.
• Experience with baking ovens and related burners and ovens in electro deposition/paint baking.
• Experience with assembly line equipment and pneumatic tools.
• Experience with MHE like forklifts and EOT cranes.
• Experience with Mitsubishi & Delta PLC, SCADA, VFD & HMI.

Responsibilities

• Independent shift handling & coordination with production for maintenance execution.
• Coordinate with vendors for outsourced activities.
• Spare parts procurement, storage and consumption monitoring.
• Analyze chronic breakdowns and formulate preventive countermeasures.
• Track department metrics like MTBF, MTTR and implement maintenance programs.
• Plan annual, monthly and weekly preventive maintenance with shops.
• Ensure ISO documentation 9001, 14001 & 45001.
• Execute preventive maintenance per plan to ensure smooth production.
• Maintain daily logbooks, history sheets and maintenance records.
• Drive new digitization projects and sustain them.
• Energy management and improvements to reduce energy usage.
• Ensure safety of personnel and machinery with zero-tolerance targets.
• Lead safety improvements with weekly meetings with cell members.
• Promote TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, LOTO, WAH, ESMS.

Job Description:

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• 1. Hands-on experience in Conveyors systems & its equipment’s, Overhead I-Beam continuous 6",4" & 3" caterpillar driven, slat, belt & gravity roller conveyor, Pneumatic up/down lift & vertical reciprocating conveyor i.e. .Material handling Lift.
• 2. Hands-on experience in PT/CED equipment’s viz, Centrifugal pumps & Blowers, plate heat exchangers, fluid in line filter , PNG & diesel fired Thermax make Hot water gen, Maxon & Weishaupt make burners, Oven balancing, chillers, CED system, Ultra Filtration system, RO & DM plant, valves, sludge separators.
• 3. Hands-on experience in Spray painting booth equipment like Electrostatic guns, conventional guns ,Paint kitchen equipment’s i.e.. reciprocating pumps, diaphragm pumps, heat exchangers, Booth ASU supply, washer system & exhaust blowers, spray booth filter management.
• 4. Hands-on experience in Baking Ovens, monitoring performance of PNG and diesel fired burners ovens in Electro Deposition and Paint Baking & its filter management.
• 5. Assembly line equipment’s pneumatic & pulse tools, Battery operated tools, DC tools, Number Punching machine, Hydraulic Test Rigs, oil filling machine, Pneumatic manipulators for pick & fit applications, Pneumatic operated grease pumps, Oil dispensing machines, Hoist & EOT cranes, Pneumatic hoist. Washing Machines, Roller test rigs, tyre/rim assembly machines & washing machines.
• 6. Material Handling Equipment, Forklift both diesel & Battery-operated stackers, tow truck, pallet roll etc.
• 7. Hands on experience in development, modification & troubleshooting in Mitsubishi & Delta Make PLC ,SCADA, VFD & HMI.

Daily Work Management/ Roles & Responsibility:

• 1. Independent Shift handling & coordination with Production for seamless execution of maintenance activities.
• 2. Coordination with vendors for outsourced activities.
• 3. Spare parts management i.e.. procurement, Storage, and consumption monitoring.
• 4. Analysis of chronic and repeated breakdowns and formulation of Countermeasures to tackle the same with preventive, proactive & predictive approach.
• 5. Maintaining different performance parameter related to department viz. RFI, MTBF, MTTR and analyzing of the same for adopting suitable maintenance program.
• 6. Chalking out of annual, monthly, weekly preventive maintenance Plan of plant in consultation with respective shops.
• 7. ISO documentation: 9001,14001 & 45001.
• 8. Execution of the preventive maintenance activities according to the plan and ensuring smooth production after the Preventive maintenance.
• 9. Up-keeping of different documents related to maintenance department viz. Daily logbook, history sheets, preventive maintenance check sheets, breakdown intimations book etc.
• 10. New digitization project & their sustenance.
• 11. Energy management & improvements for reduction in source.
• 12. Ensuring safety of Man & machine with zero tolerance targets.
• 13. Safety improvements with safety contacts, weekly meetings with cell members.
• 14. Industrial system Awareness TPM, 5’S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Safety standards i.e.. LOTO, WAH, ESMS.
