Job summary

D-tech Management Resource is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance professional for a cement plant in Maharashtra. You will be responsible for all mechanical maintenance activities including preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of VRMs, kilns, ball mills and related equipment.

You will plan weekly maintenance, allocate manpower, coordinate shutdowns, and drive cost-saving measures while ensuring safe, compliant operations and efficient plant performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance in heavy industry or cement plants.
• Ability to plan preventive maintenance and budgets.
• Strong coordination with sub-contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of VRMs, kilns, mills and ancillary equipment.
• Plan weekly preventive maintenance activities and man-power allocation.
• Coordinate shutdown planning and breakdown analysis to minimize downtime.
• Lead site inspections, condition monitoring and scheduling activities.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality and environmental standards (ISO/OHSAS).
• Collaborate with vendors and sub-contractors for seamless project delivery.
• Develop and monitor maintenance budgets and implement energy-saving measures.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities

Responsible for all the Mechanical Maintenance activities like, preventive and corrective maintenances.

• The major equipments includes, Vertical Roller Mills for Raw Grinding, Vertical Roller Mills for Cement Grinding, Vertical Roller Mills for Coal Grinding, Rotary Kiln & Cooler, & Circular Stackers & Ball Mills, etc..
• Planning and executing the weekly preventive maintenance activities.
• Planning & executing walk through inspection, condition based monitoring, planning, scheduling.
• Daily manpower allocation to all the sections through central maintenance dept for mechanical maintenance and follow-up of jobs round the clocks.
• Executing processes of preventive/ predictive/breakdown maintenance of Machines & Equipment so as to take corrective action and reduce downtime to minimum/breakdown to zero
• Managing the shutdown planning/ stoppage investigation & analysis operations as well as ensuring inspection & systematic dispatches as per the site requirements.
• Planning & effective preventative maintenance schedules of various machineries & equipments.
• Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns & take steps to rectify the same.
• Preparing/monitoring the maintenance budgets & ensuring adherence to the same.
• Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M expenditures and work within the budget.
• Planning daily activities, production schedules/allocating work for achieving monthly production targets.
• Minimizing performance bottlenecks for achieving high productivity with optimization of men, material & machine.
• Managing the project executions/coordination (erection & commissioning) of equipments & machineries and liasioning with clients for execution of projects.
• Working in close co-ordination with the sub contractors & vendors for ensuring seamless delivery.
• Implementation of various systems - WCM, OHSAS-18001, ISO-14001, ISO-9001
• Safety officer of the plant
• Preventive & breakdown maintenance of plant machinery such as kiln, ball mills, impactors, Eot crains etc.
• Erection & commissioning of Secondary impactor.
• Mechanical maintenance of Vertical Roller Mills (VRM), Cement mill, Packers and other equipment of modern dry process cement plant
• Budget / Capex planning, project engg, commissioning
