Job summary

Dalmia Cement in Tamil Nadu seeks a seasoned Mechanical professional to lead planning, budgeting, and inventory management for the maintenance of plant equipment.

You will drive productivity improvements (TPH and reliability), oversee CAPEX planning, and implement TPM/TQM initiatives while ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and vendor/contract planning. The role requires building a strong team and developing succession plans.

• Prepare the budget for the financial year and monitor consumption.
• Optimize spares, stores consumption and inventory management.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilites:

• Responsible for preparing the plan on the Mechanical Requirements in line with the Business plan.


• Responsible for preparing the Budget for the Financial Year & Monitor the consumption


• Responsible for optimizing the Spares, stores Consumption and Inventory Management.


• Responsible for improving the plant productivity (TPH) & Reliability of all equipments.


• Responsible for specific initiatives like TPM, TQM in the Mechanical section, de-bottle necking projects in the Mechanical front.


• Responsible for Capex Planning for the Financial Year and development of Skills in Mechanical Department.


• Responsible for Green Fuel Maintenance and Operation to achieve the TSR as per Budget


• Responsible to comply the Environmental Norms Viz. Controlling the Fugitive emission, Water positive and avoiding the earth contamination


• Responsible for preparing the Estimation of Contractual work in Piece Rae/Tonnage rate, Ensuring that the systems and control are in place for better operations.


• Responsible for building a vibrant team, managing succession planning, developing the second line and improving the competency levels of the overall team.


• Responsible for ensuring high level of safety health and environment practice at the production units and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements.


• Responsible for Non-OEM spares Procurement Plan.
