Job summary

Persistent Systems in Pune is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile teams in delivering software solutions and fostering continuous improvement. You will partner with cross-functional groups to maximize productivity, remove impediments, and ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of Scrum Master experience in software development, strong coaching skills, and a proven ability to drive stakeholder alignment and secure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of experience as Scrum Master or Agile Project Coordinator.
• Strong experience coaching teams on Agile and Scrum practices.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience in software development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in applying Agile and Lean principles with transparency and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Track and communicate team performance metrics to drive improvement.
• Collaborate with Business and IS teams to align product value and stakeholder expectations.
• Identify and remove blockers to accelerate delivery.
• Manage dependencies with external contributors and vendors.
• Monitor project health, risks, and quality.

• Guide teams in applying Agile and Lean principles, ensuring collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
• Facilitate effective Scrum ceremonies including stand?ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Establish and reinforce clear team rules, working agreements, and standard practices
• Track, analyze, and communicate team efficiency metrics, driving continuous improvement through reflection and adaptation

• Ensure the delivered product consistently meets user and business needs
• Promote active user feedback collection, analysis, and integration into product iterations
• Support rapid resolution of user reported issues, maintaining trust and minimizing disruption

• Actively remove impediments and eliminate risks when necessary
• Foster a strong security?first mindset across one or more teams
• Ensure security best practices are embedded and adhered to during project execution

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 4 to 8 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Coordinator in software development environments.
• Strong experience working as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
• Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Lean principles
• Proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders on Agile best practices
• Experience tracking and improving team performance and delivery metrics
• Strong skills in risk identification, dependency management, and issue escalation
• Ability to promote collaboration between business, IT, and security teams
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience fostering a high performing, transparent, and continuously improving team culture
• Awareness of secure delivery practices and ability to reinforce security considerations in Agile execution.
