Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance is seeking a Sales Manager - Agency in Ajmer, Rajasthan to lead agency channel sales. The role targets building a robust intermediary network and achieving premium targets.

With 1–5 years of experience, the candidate will identify and mobilize agents, ensure knowledge of products, and coordinate with underwriting, branch operations, claims and finance teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and agent commissions.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of relevant sales/agency experience.
• Familiarity with insurance products and sales processes preferred.
• Ability to motivate and mobilize agents to meet premium targets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and motivate potential candidates to enroll for becoming agents.
• Activate certified agents through mobilization of minimum premium in stipulated time.
• Ensure familiarization of the company’s products, policies and sales processes to the agents.
• Identify, communicate and agree on the premium targets with agents on various class of business & geographical segment.
• Ensure lower dormancy ratio of active vs total agents.
• Maximize mobilization through regular follow-ups & strengthening of relationships with agents.
• Ensure constant updating of agent’s knowledge on new products and underwriting policies.
• Troubleshooting with underwriting, branch operations, claims and finance teams for policy issuance and timely disbursement of agent’s commissions.
• Adherence to 100% compliance.
