Job summary

BAB Leather Products International in Chennai, India seeks a driven Business Development & Lead Generation professional to build a strong customer pipeline and convert leads into customers. You will manage client relationships, present solutions, and prepare quotations while coordinating with internal teams.

The role requires 2–5 years in Sales/B2B, strong communication and negotiation skills, and willingness to travel for client meetings. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM is essential.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development or B2B Sales.
  • Experience in B2B sales, interior products, building materials, furniture, leather, furnishing or related industries will be an advantage.
  • Strong ability to generate leads and independently develop new customers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong follow-up and order-closing ability.
  • Customer-oriented approach with the ability to build long-term business relationships.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and CRM software.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, references and direct customer approach.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Identify potential clients among interior designers, architects, contractors, builders, dealers and business associates.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to convert leads into active customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products/solutions.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations and product discussions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and ensure timely communication.
  • Prepare and share accurate quotations based on customer requirements.
  • Follow up on quotations, negotiate commercial terms and address customer queries.
  • Coordinate internally regarding pricing, product availability, delivery and other customer requirements.
  • Drive the complete sales cycle from Lead > Meeting > Requirement > Quotation > Follow-up > Negotiation > Order Closure.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor sales pipeline and follow up proactively to maximize conversions.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat orders and additional business.
  • Coordinate closely with production, purchase, accounts, logistics and management teams to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
  • Communicate customer feedback and market requirements to the relevant internal teams.
  • Ensure commitments made to customers are properly followed through.
  • Maintain accurate customer and lead information in the CRM system.
  • Regularly update lead status, customer interactions, quotations and order progress.
  • Prepare regular reports on: New leads generated, Customer meetings, Quotations submitted, Follow-ups, Orders converted, Sales achieved, Pending opportunities

1. Business Development & Lead Generation
