Job summary

Synechron Technologies is seeking an experienced RPGLE Developer to join our team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining RPGLE/ILE RPG applications on IBM i, with exposure to CLLE and DB2/400.

You will analyze requirements, support production systems, and work with BAs, QA, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC. A Bachelor's in CS/IT is expected, with 4–10 years of hands-on IBM i development experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with RPGLE, ILE RPG, Free Format RPG, CLLE, and DB2/400.
• Strong understanding of IBM i (AS/400) environment.
• Experience in maintenance, enhancements and production support.
• Knowledge of SQL, embedded SQL and database design concepts.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
• Understanding of SDLC, change management and version control processes.

Responsibilities

RPGLE Developer Position: RPGLE Developer Experience: 4-10 Years Work Location: Noida / Pune / Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPGLE, ILE RPG, CLP, and DB2 on IBM i (AS/400) platform.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform application support, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Develop and modify database files, stored procedures, and reports.
• Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Support production deployments and provide post-implementation assistance.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in RPGLE, ILE RPG, Free Format RPG, CLLE, and DB2/400.
• Good understanding of IBM i (AS/400) environment.
