Job summary

Strarch Engineering Chennai is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineering supervisor to lead roofing and cladding finishing works on a large Aircraft Hangar project. You will oversee teams, ensure timely, within-budget delivery, and maintain quality in line with design intent.

The role requires reading blueprints and coordinating with clients, consultants and subcontractors, with strong knowledge of finishing materials and processes. On-site leadership and safety compliance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in finishing works on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of finishing processes and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent interaction with management, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring Roofing and cladding tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards on this Aircraft Hangar MRO.
• Managing the Roofing and cladding teams, ensuring they are fully trained and competent in their roles and works are executed in accordance with the design intent.
• Reviewing and approving facade materials, ensuring they meet the requirements of the project specifications
• Overseeing the installation of Roofing and Cladding systems, ensuring they comply with building regulations and safety standards.
• Verify quality and progress of architectural finishes and construction elements.
• Coordinate with other supervisors and Project Management assist in resolving architectural and design issues to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Assist Project Management in scheduling, cost estimation, and procurement for architectural materials and services.
• Identifying potential issues or delays and implementing effective solutions
• Prepare, Maintain and present regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with the companys health and safety policies

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field or Equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in finishing works on construction sites preferably in cladding works of PEB buildings.
• Strong knowledge of construction finishing processes and materials.
• Able to interact with multi-levels of management personnel within the organization and third parties such as clients, consultants and sub-contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
