Job summary

Svadha Builders in Hyderabad, Telangana, seeks a Senior Engineer – Civil (Finishings) to oversee high-rise finishing works, including plastering, putty, painting, flooring, tiling and false ceilings on Mivan structures. You will ensure quality, safety and on-time completion while coordinating with structural, MEP and QA/QC teams on site.

The candidate should hold a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering; experience in finishing Mivan structures is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise finishing activities such as plastering, putty, painting, flooring, tiling, false ceilings, waterproofing, doors/windows and other interior finishing tasks.
• Ensure proper surface treatment of Mivan walls (groove cutting, crack filling, putty application).
• Manage execution as per approved mock-ups and finishing schedules.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and QA/QC teams for seamless finishing activity flow.
• Monitor daily and weekly progress against the finishing schedule.
• Manage labor deployment, contractors, and subcontractors on site.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure adherence to project standards.
• Ensure safety practices during execution and prepare snag lists for closure.
• Supervise junior engineers, supervisors, and labor teams.
• Ensure work per design and specification; resolve site issues with reporting manager.
• Maintain daily progress records, material usage, and support billing with measurements.

Job description

The Senior Engineer – Civil (Finishings) is responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of finishing activities in high-rise residential buildings. This includes coordinating internal and external finishing work, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery, with a focus on structures built using Mivan shuttering technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Execution of Finishing Works

• Supervise finishing activities such as plastering, putty work, painting, flooring, tiling, false ceilings, waterproofing, doors/windows, and other interior finishing tasks
• Ensure proper surface treatment of Mivan walls (groove cutting, crack filling, putty application, etc.)
• Manage execution as per approved mock-ups and finishing schedules
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and QA/QC teams for seamless finishing activity flow
• Monitor daily and weekly progress against the finishing schedule
• Manage labor deployment, contractors, and subcontractors on site

Quality & Safety Assurance

• Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure adherence to project standards
• Ensure implementation of safety practices during execution
• Prepare snag lists, monitor rectification, and closure
• Supervise junior engineers, supervisors, and labor teams
• Ensure work is carried out as per design and specification
• Assist in resolving technical and site-related issues in coordination with the reporting manager

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily work progress records and material usage reports
• Support billing teams with measurements and documentation
• Track and report contractor performance and site observations

Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Prior experience in finishing Mivan structures is a strong advantage

Key Skills:

• Sound knowledge of civil finishing works and modern finishing techniques
• Understanding of finishing on Mivan walls and surfaces
• Proficient in reading architectural/finishing drawings and executing them on-site
• Familiar with MS Excel, AutoCAD, and other project tracking tools
• Excellent coordination, communication, and team supervision skills
