Job summary

MS World Travel Services in Chennai is seeking an experienced airline reservations professional to manage domestic and international ticketing, PNRs and fare quotes. You will handle reissues, refunds, schedule changes and special passenger requests with accuracy and efficiency.

Proficiency across Amadeus, Sabre and Galileo/Travelport, strong knowledge of fare rules, ticketing deadlines and GDS error resolution is essential. Excellent communication via phone, WhatsApp and email is required.

Job description

• Handle complete airline reservation and ticketing operations for domestic and international sectors.
• Must have strong working knowledge of Amadeus, Sabre and Galileo/Travelport GDS.
• Create, modify and manage PNRs, fare quotes, ticketing and queue management.
• Perform new bookings, rebooking, cancellations, voids, refunds and ticket exchanges/reissues.
• Handle date changes, flight changes, no-show cases, schedule changes and involuntary reissues.
• Calculate and process fare differences, change fees, cancellation penalties, refund amounts and applicable taxes.
• Strong knowledge of fare rules, fare basis, booking classes, ticketing time limits and airline policies.
• Handle SSR/OSI entries, passenger details, passport information, baggage, meals, wheelchair and other special requests.
• Process seat selection, ancillary services, EMDs and additional service requests.
• Check and resolve GDS errors and ticketing issues.
• Handle airline schedule changes, cancellations and passenger reaccommodation.
• Coordinate with airlines, consolidators and internal visa/operations teams when required.
• Ensure passenger names, passport details, DOB, gender and other booking information are entered accurately.
• Handle group bookings and individual bookings for corporate, family, religious and leisure travel.
• Provide customers with accurate information regarding fares, baggage allowance, flight timings, restrictions and ticket conditions.
• Follow up on pending bookings, ticketing deadlines and payment requirements.
• Maintain proper records of tickets, refunds, reissues and customer communications.
• Handle customer queries professionally through phone, WhatsApp and email.
