Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Regional Manager – MEA to drive growth, partnerships, and operations across the Middle East and Asia for our leading payment gateway platform. You will lead regional market development, forge strategic relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and align local teams to business goals. This is a high-impact leadership role combining strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Market Expansion: Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy across MEA, targeting e-commerce, SaaS, fintech, and enterprise merchants.
● Partnership Development: Establish and manage partnerships with banks, acquirers, PSPs, merchants, and fintech players.
● Regulatory Compliance: Navigate local financial regulations and licensing requirements (e.g., SAMA, UAE Central Bank, MAS).
● Revenue Growth: Own regional sales targets, lead key account acquisition, and scale payment volumes across countries.
● Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage local business development, pre-sales, and customer success teams.
● Stakeholder Management: Serve as the regional point of contact for strategic clients, partners, and internal global teams.
● Product Alignment: Collaborate with product teams to localize offerings (currency, languages, compliance, payment methods like UPI, MADA, QR payments). Competitive Intelligence: Track regional fintech trends, competitor landscape, and pricing strategies.
● Required Qualifications:
● 10+ years of experience in fintech, payments, or banking, with a strong focus on the Middle East and Asia.
● Proven track record in sales, partnerships, or regional management in a B2B payment gateway or acquiring/processing environment.
● Strong understanding of payment flows, risk, acquiring, settlement, and cross-border regulations.
● Experience working with payment APIs, PSP integration, fraud management, and regional schemes (e.g., MADA, Rupay, UPI).
● Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
● Ability to travel regionally as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Existing network with banks, PSPs, regulators, and large merchants in the MEA region.
● Experience launching operations or securing licenses in new countries.
● Multilingual abilities (Arabic, Hindi, Mandarin, or others) are a plus.
● Familiarity with regional compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, AML/KYC, local mandates).
