Job summary

Leading Real Estate in Mumbai seeks a Quantity Survey Engineer for our Kalbadevi location. You will prepare and review BOQs, take-offs, cost estimates and material calculations based on drawings and project needs.

Reviewing architectural, structural, MEP drawings to ensure accurate quantities, you will monitor costs, verify bills and invoices, and assist in tendering and contract management. Diploma/degree in Civil/QS required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates and material calculations.
• Review drawings (architectural, structural, MEP) to ensure accurate quantities.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, rate analysis and tender documents.
• Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations for cost and quality.
• Monitor project costs and budget utilization throughout the lifecycle.
• Verify contractor/subcontractor bills, RA bills, invoices and measurements.
• Conduct site measurements to ensure work matches drawings and BOQs.
• Track variations and change orders and their cost impact.
• Maintain records of BOQs, measurements, contracts and cost statements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Procurement, Finance.
• Assist in tendering and contract management and evaluate commercial proposals.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, budget vs actuals and cash-flow projections.

3. Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, rate analysis, and tender documents.
4. Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations and support the selection process based on cost, quality, and project requirements.
5. Monitor project costs, expenses, and budget utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Verify contractor/subcontractor bills, RA bills, invoices, and work measurements before processing payments.
7. Conduct site measurements and quantity verification to ensure that executed work matches approved drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
8. Track and evaluate variations, additional works, deviations, and change orders, including their cost impact.
9. Maintain proper records of BOQs, measurements, work orders, contracts, bills, variations, and project cost statements.
10. Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Procurement, Finance, and other departments for project-related commercial matters.
11. Assist in tendering and contract management, including preparation of comparative statements and evaluation of commercial proposals.
12. Prepare monthly cost reports, budget vs. actual cost statements, cash-flow projections, and other MIS reports as required.
13. Ensure that project expenditure remains within the approved budget and contractual terms and highlight cost overruns or potential financial risks.
14. Support final account preparation and settlement with contractors and subcontractors upon project completion.
15. Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, approved rates, specifications, and project documentation standards.
